life priorities for october 2026

I've set many goals and priorities in the past, but I always forget about them or lose them. I figured that at least sharing them here will mean they can't go anywhere. It might even be nice to look back at them in a few years.

I'm ready to sell my house. My family wants me to buy something bigger and nicer. It's a lovely idea, but it just means a bigger mortgage and being locked in the golden handcuffs for even longer. I want to be mortgage free. If I save enough money over the next year, I should have enough to buy somewhere cheap but pleasant enough.

I'm only in my thirties and I'm already exhausted of the past decade of 9-5 (more like (8-6) work. If I manage to be mortgage free, then I should be able to live on about £1000-£1500 per month. That way I hope I can take on some less stressful work and recover from my burnout and chronic illness.

I'd love to train as a therapist and be able to help people in the way mine has helped me. So that's the dream right now; reduce spending and costs, try to be mortgage free, and train as a therapist.

I know these priorities could have changed by as early as next week, but at least I'll have a record of them now.
